Fort Hartsuff

Fort Hartsuff

relive Plains military history

This outstanding example of Plains infantry outpost has been restored to its original glory.  At a time when people were following trails to find gold in the Black Hills, Fort Hartsuff served as a buffer for travelers and settlers and the Native American tribes, primarily Sioux.
